IMERYS Performance Minerals Europe Announces Price Increase for
Calcium Carbonate, Kaolin and Mica Products
Paris, October 29th 2010. Imerys Performance Minerals will increase Calcium Carbonate, Kaolin & Mica prices in Europe effective 1st December 2010, or as current price agreements expire.
Calcium Carbonate products – 4-8 %
Kaolin products – 4-8%
US Mica products – 4-10%
Imerys Performance Minerals continues to incur significant escalation in mining, regulatory, fuel, power, chemical, and packaging costs. Despite success with ongoing programs to improve productivity and manage overall costs, this price increase is required to invest in new products, technology, and people. As a market leader in mineral products, Imerys is committed to offering its customers cost-effective and value-adding solutions to numerous formulations.
Each customer will be duly notified on a case by case basis of such increase in due course.
