IMERYS Performance and Filtration Minerals announces price increase across its mineral portfolio in Europe
Paris, October 13 2011. IMERYS Performance and Filtration Minerals has announced that it will increase the price of its European portfolio of mineral products by between 3 and 5 per cent. The new prices will be effective 1st January 2012, as contracts allow.
Significant cost pressure in logistics, chemicals, packaging and mining are key drivers for the announced price increases. Despite Imerys' continual investments to mitigate these effects, price increases are necessary to achieve a sustainable product platform and meet customer demand.
The price increase will be adjusted by an Energy Surcharge (ESC) throughout the year and this ESC is subject to further announcement later this month.
As market leader in mineral products IMERYS remains committed to offering its customers cost effective and value adding solutions on a sustainable basis.
Each customer will be duly notified on a case by case basis of such increase in due course. .
