In packaging applications (film and rigid) the use of engineered calcium carbonates, such as Supercoat, allow faster throughput during extrusion and downgauging of the parts with subsequent improvements in cost efficiency

Calcined clay grades (InFilm 200, PoleStar 200R) are used extensively as antiblock additives in plastic films and as infrared barrier additives in plastic films for agricultural and greenhouse applications.

In the PVCu pipe and window profile industries coated calcium carbonates to enhance physical performance and maintain good colour and gloss.
