The FilmLink range of ultrafine ground calcium carbonates (GCC) is the leading mineral product in breathable film applications for the hygiene, medical and roofing markets.
In packaging applications (film and rigid) the use of engineered calcium carbonates, such as Supercoat, allow faster throughput during extrusion and downgauging of the parts with subsequent improvements in cost efficiency.
Calcined clay grades (InFilm 200, PoleStar 200R) are used extensively as antiblock additives in plastic films and as infrared barrier additives in plastic films for agricultural and greenhouse applications. For more a more detailed study see the related topic below.
In the PVCu pipe and window profile industries coated calcium carbonates to enhance physical performance and maintain good colour and gloss.
For Thermosets we can supply a range of high whiteness materials where colour is critical and low cost materials where filling / bulking is needed.
