Filmlink: Imerys’ high-tech fine calcium carbonate has been developed to create pores in thin polymer films on stretching – creating a water-proof but breathable film, widely used in disposable nappies.
With a staff of approximately 270 scientists and technologists, in 12 laboratories worldwide, IMERYS is engaged in applied research, product development and investigation of mineral applications. The largest laboratories are in South West England, Georgia, USA and Brazil. The latest testing and analytical techniques and equipment are employed in these state-of-the-art facilities.
