A commitment to quality
Imerys Performance Minerals are produced to the highest international quality standards (ISO 9000:2001), ensuring absolute consistency.
Testing starts when our raw materials are still in the ground, we have detailed knowledge of the extent and quality of our kaolin and calcium carbonate deposits. After extraction the materials are tested at several stages through the manufacturing process, with final tests being done on the finished material. Analysis at every stage allows us to make adjustments to the processing conditions in response to the test results ensuring Imerys’ customers can always rely on identical quality.
Quality Control
IMERYS products are supplied to stringent specifications. All calcium carbonate and kaolin products are verified for key properties relevant to the industries they are to be used in, to ensure that they conform to the specification.
Process testing is carried out in laboratories at each production location. Process testing is cross checked in our central laboratories. Finally, the calibration of testing equipment through the whole organisation is verified periodically against internationally recognised independent laboratories.
