Mica Products

Muscovite mica is a complex potassium aluminum silicate. Due to the platy nature of the material, IMERYS mica has excellent flexural and bridging characteristics, which contribute to crack resistance in coating applications. This platy nature also enhances release performance in applications such as rubber molding and sheet production. It is chemically inert and resistant to thermal decomposition. Mica is used in aqueous applications such as joint compounds, sealants and adhesives.

Drikalite® calcium carbonate is a fine particle size, dry ground product with a high brightness and a white color. Drikalite offers the formulator or compounder a relatively fine product at an economical price for use in coatings, caulks and rubber compounds.
