How does IMERYS notify customers of changes in specification?
Our kaolins are derived from naturally occurring minerals. From time to time, albeit very infrequently, we may need to amend our specifications. If this happens we routinely inform users of the change |

Does IMERYS provide Certificates of Analysis?
As all product shipped is guaranteed to meet its published specification and all our sites are ISO 9002 registered we do not consider it necessary to provide Certificates of Analysis (COA). However every delivery is covered by a Certificate of Conformity either forming part of our Delivery Note or part of our invoice.
Additionally we can provide Long Term Certificates of Conformity, usually for twelve months, or Evergreen Certificates, which continue until the specification changes. |

How do we guarantee quality?
The quality of raw material feed to the milling plant is carefully controlled. Product samples are routinely checked during the milling process and are tested prior to the product being released for sale.
Each of IMERYS' products meets a published specification, against which every delivery is guaranteed.
Stock is fully tested and approved before despatch.
IMERYS is registered to ISO 9001:2000 by BSI who undertakes regular audits to ensure that quality standards are maintained. |

What is our production capacity?
To ensure flexibility, two mills are employed. The mills work independently, allowing different products to be milled and bagged concurrently. There are currently no capacity constraints. |

How is contamination avoided?
An electromagnet and separate metal detector protect the conveyer feeding each mill. From this point in the process, right through to final packaging, the system is totally enclosed.
If a different product is required to be milled the system is shut down and emptied prior to recommencing operation. |
|

Do I require special storage conditions?
Other than those associated with good housekeeping, no special storage conditions are required. Product should be kept clean, dry, and free from contamination and damage. |

Is it possible to add additional customer specific markings?
In order to respond rapidly to customer demand we hold a stock of pre-printed sacks and are have no facilities for providing non-standard markings. |
