IMERYS Performance Minerals North America Announces Price Increase for Calcium Carbonate, Kaolin, and Mica Products
Atlanta, GA, October 15, 2010 – Imerys Performance Minerals North America announces 6-10% price increases across their mineral portfolio, subject to any provisions in individual contracts. The increase includes calcium carbonate, kaolin, and mica products and is effective December 1, 2010, or as current price agreements expire.
Imerys Performance Minerals continues to incur significant escalation in mining, regulatory, fuel, power, chemical, and packaging costs. Despite success with ongoing programs to improve productivity and manage overall costs, this price increase is required to invest in new products, technology, and people.
